When Jaxon was born, I sent out birth announcement / holiday card combos. In doing so, I was able to take down two birds with one stone. He was born in November so perfect timing, right? While baby Akilah was born in August, we are doing the same thing and I am sending them out early… or late. You be the judge. That’s the beauty of choosing a card design that doubles as an announcement or holiday card.

Whenever I think of holiday cards or birth announcements, I think of Tiny Prints. Known for their designer paperie, Tiny Prints always presents me with plenty of options that speak to my modern tastes. When choosing an announcement design, I went straight to the new Winter Birth Announcements section. It looks like they are pretty popular!

The Early Enchantment winter birth announcements captivated me the most because… glitter. Besides the glittery goodness, I loved the muted softness of the design. While Akilah didn’t come during the early portion of this year, she did arrive 2 weeks early. Once I had chosen my design, it was time for a mini photo shoot to match the cards. I planned to photograph her only in her cocoon, but I decided to whip out her glittery “Flawless” tank as well. I just couldn’t resist. When editing her photos, I added a slight pink tint to better match the card. Plugging her photos and our info into the Tiny Prints editor was a cinch. I choose rounded corners with a semi-matte finish.

I went with the default design for the back of the card. Adding additional photos would require flipping over the card. Since people will display her card or place them in an album, I chose what was practical. I couldn’t resist choosing a few envelope add-ons. I thought the pink polka dotted liners were so adorable. I also chose to have our envelopes printed with our address because… lazy.

I am completely blown away by and so absolutely happy with baby Akilah’s birth announcements. Family and friends will be delighted to receive a memento just as lovely as she. Tiny Prints, we thank you!
