3 Snaps For Blue Apron Meal Delivery

Thanks to Blue Apron for sponsoring this post and for lifting me out of my funk and giving me inspiration to cook again.

It’s spring and for me that means a new beginning and opportunity to get my life together. The resolutions don’t start in January around these parts, but in March when my internal clock starts cranking again. It’s how it’s always been as a person who quite literally hibernates all winter. One of the things that I’ve been wanting to get back to is preparing fresh meals for my family. We’ve been on frozen and boxed foods for too long and now that I finally have some energy, I’m trying to fix it.

I started off by cleaning my kitchen from top to bottom. I packed up bunches of unused dishes, pans, and kitchen trinkets that I haven’t touched in years. A common stressor of mine is clutter or the perception of having too much to do. Disorder drives me up the wall and can send me into lashing fits or shutting down completely and not wanting to deal. Neither of those things are productive and affect my relationships and my work. So listen, I tried as much as possible to create a clean slate and made a promise to enlist help to keep it all together. I have a cleaning service I can dial every other month or so and have been exploring grocery delivery.

Enter Blue Apron.

Now, I’m no stranger to the awesomeness that is Blue Apron. I was gifted meals from a friend when baby Akilah was born and decided to continue using the service for a while. If you’re looking for gift ideas for an expecting mother, look no further than Blue Apron because she will already be up to her ears in diapers and onesies. What she will need is a smooth transition into running a household with a new baby and having easy meals on deck will be one less thing to worry about.

Having Blue Apron during the first weeks of having baby Akilah was such a treat. It was nice having fresh ingredients for meals, perfectly portioned, and delivered to our door. I prepared the meals with ease and was inspired to try new recipes and get creative in the kitchen. Fast forward to now and we’re using Blue Apron again as I get my mojo back.

We were sent a complimentary box of 3 meals (for two people) just in time for baby Akilah’s surgery. Before her surgery, I ran around like a mad woman cleaning and planning, not knowing what to expect post-surgery. I knew I wanted to be totally present and free, so having Blue Apron meals during this time really came in handy. The meals that I chose were full of fresh veggies. I just saw lots of spinach, broccoli, and mushrooms and hit that select button.

What to expect from Blue Apron:

Farm-fresh, seasonal produce
Meat with no added hormones
Sustainably-sourced seafood
…and everything else you need including seasonings and step-by-step recipes!

The first and easiest meal that I decided to cook was spinach and mozzarella pizza. It was something that I could quickly throw together to get everyone fed. And since quick was my goal and perfection was not, I went for a freestyled flat bread look vs a perfectly shaped circle or rectangle pizza. Rectangle or blob, it still was fantastic!

Here’s another meal that I LOVED… the mushroom & broccoli casserole with baked pastries. I was feeling fancy, so I added some shrimp.

I highly recommend Blue Apron for getting quick, fresh meals on the table and for providing variety and inspiration in the kitchen. Whether you’re looking to feed your family or looking for a fun date night activity, Blue Apron delivery service is an excellent choice!

I would love to give Blue Apron a try. There are days when I cannot even rest for a minute! Their menu looks great, I could really use a little help in the kitchen and Blue Apron will do the trick. Thanks for your honest review.

Although we love the thought of this, we couldn't justify buying it. The cost of it was more than the ingredients we could buy ourselves so we had to quit.

It's definitely something to be used sparingly.

My parents watch my kids after school. I tried to pay them, but they refused. Instead I pay for their Blue Apron membership. Love everything they prepare!
