As I inch closer to thirty, I feel I have a defined style that I’m pretty content with. What is that style exactly? Well, I don’t know… comfy casual and boho? I’m most comfortable in jeans and a tee- a flowy tunic top if I’m trying to take casual up a notch. In the summer, I wear flowy dresses since they are easy and although simple, they upstage my normal uniform of a tri-blend tee and jeans. I’m not opposed to trying new looks, but I’m becoming more mindful of what I allow into my closet. I only want to keep pieces I absolutely love, which are usually not worthy of a trip down the runway, but hey.
To help liven up my lazy fashion choices, I turn to my collection of shoes and more recently jewelry and accessories. Adding a simple necklace and a few rings help complete an outfit or at least make it look like I tried, lol. I love simple, delicate pieces that go with everything and don’t weigh me down. I’m really loving the matte and rose gold trend. I’ve always prefered white gold/silver, but I’m obsessed with the antique and elegant look of rose and matte gold. I worried about mixing golds with silvers, but it can be done tastefully.
My favorite jewelry pieces that are part of my current rotation came to me by way of today’s site partner, Olive Yew. They sent me a selection of their best pieces and I’m head over heels with my new lovelies.
I wear the wishbone necklace as a reminder to hang in there while my wishes are tightly wrapped in bubble wrap and pixie dust and make their final descent into the Sophistishe HQ.
I wear the family circle eternity necklace in honor of my three tiny blessings.
As a free spirit, the feather ring was only fitting. And it’s two-toned, giving me permission to mix the two colors.
For those moments when I don’t really need earrings, but since I feel naked without them, the small square hoop earrings do the trick. I may leave them in my purse for backup.
So there you have it, a look at some of the staple pieces that complete me and an unintentional glimpse of what we’ve been up to this summer.
What’s your personal style when it comes to fashion and jewelry?

View CommentI used to only like big statement pieces, but now I’ve been really into delicate pieces. I like the subtlety of the delicate pieces. I sometimes mix them in with a statement ring, since I love big funky rings.
