Jayden’s class is having a Valentine’s Day party next Wednesday so I thought it’d be great to give them a creative and inexpensive gift that they’d enjoy using. We don’t throw away broken crayons round these parts, we recycle them. Since we had a big ol’ bag of broken crayons accumulating, I decided to make “the friends” some heart shaped crayons. It’s a super simple task that renders an awe-mazing product!
What You Need
Broken Crayons
Silicone muffin pan
X-acto knife
Instructions
Using an X-acto knife, remove paper from crayons and arrange crayons in muffin pan.
Place muffin pan on a cookie sheet and place in oven heated to 300 degrees. Leave in oven for 10 minutes or until crayons are completely melted.
Remove and let cool until crayons have solidified. To speed up the process, let them sit in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Pop crayons out of muffin pan and enjoy!
This is an activity we never grow tired off especially with so many fun shaped pans available. “The friends” are going to love receiving these in their goodies bags!
