So what’s the dealio on Walmart’s Parent’s Choice diapers? I’m writing this post because I know some of you may have heard some thangs about them and well, for us, they’ve served us well. Jax is currently two years old, no longer in the stage of blowouts and he doesn’t wet much during the night. So they work for us. We’ve used plenty of Parent’s Choice diapers with Jayden… six years ago. As new parents on a tight budget, we opted for the cheapest diaper on the shelf. I distinctly remember browsing forums and reading not so perky comments on the diaper brand. Conditioned with that info as a new mom, I was hesitant to purchase them. After trying them out, they weren’t bad at all. I realize everyone’s situation may vary so it was important to see for ourselves.
Fast forward to now and we’re using them again. We’ve cloth diapered up until Jax was about 18 months and then we started with disposables. During the time, we were packing up and hunting for a new place and I honestly didn’t have it in me to continue cloth diapering… especially dealing with more mature poops *stank face*. Always looking for ways to slash our grocery budget, we chose Parent’s Choice because we were going through diapers pretty quickly.
As a mom of two, I’ve learned to just let things go and delegate energy and resources on current needs. We don’t need the name brand or the greenest diapers. Parent’s Choice is just fine and we are using the dollars that we save to keep our pantry and freezer stocked with healthier food options… some of which are organic. It’s a compromise.
If you’re interested in trying Parent’s Choice for yourself, you can find them at Walmart available in sizes from newborn to size 6. The smaller sizes; newborn, 1, 2 and 3, feature a wetness indicator and an umbilical cord cutout for newborns. For heavy overnight wetters, Parent’s Choice also offers Overnights that feature a hypoallergenic inner liner with Vitamin E and aloe to prevent rashes.

They were good when this article was written. I used to swear by them myself at that time. But in early 2016 they changed their design. They feel more papery now and also are half as absorbent as they used to be. I was going through them much faster. I ended up switching to Safeway's Mom to Mom brand that is a dollar more per pack than Walmart but the Mom to Mom brand is what the Parents Choice used to be like before the switch they made. Now I have a diaper brand I can count on again and happy to pay the extra buck per pack to get it. Hopefully Parents Choice will fix the problem. But till then I will stick with Mom to Mom brand.

We love Walmart's Parent's Choice brand. Their diapers definitely get the job done!
