My house is a complete mess and I’m not ashamed to admit it. We are redoing our living room which is also serving as a catchall for packages (they’re coming in waves) and all things that need to go to new homes. It’s been pretty dang difficult and stress-inducing to say the least. Oh, and then there’s the cleaning that I’ve neglected towards the last few months of my pregnancy.
Now that Little Miss is here and I’m able to move around and stand up straight, I’m trying to get back into the swing of things. I LOVE a clean home, but do I love cleaning? Well, it depends on the frequency. With two little boys in the house, the need to clean is pretty frequent. I don’t get a break unless I just refuse to clean. Aaaand I’ve done just that.
Good moms have
stickycrummy floors, messy kitchens, laundry piles, dirty ovens, and happy kids.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. ;-)
I have a weakness for products that simplify my housekeeping tasks. If I have to constantly clean up after my lil’ mess makers, it ought to be easy, right? One of my favorite cleaning tools is the Dyson Slim. I’ve owned a few models so I’m pretty familiar with them. I got the chance to test a new and improved model which happens to be a Walmart exclusive. It doesn’t disappoint!
The Dyson V6 Slim Cordless Vacuum is lightweight, versatile, with Dyson’s famous suction power. It’s completely cordless, so no fiddling with plugs or doing the tango around a cord. Whenever a crummy situation arises, simply remove the vac from the mountable docking station (not pictured) and crumbs begone. The V6 Slim is light and easy to maneuver between high, low and hard to reach spaces. I love using mine on the stairs, under the kitchen table, and on dusty air vents. With 20 minutes of fade-free run time, the Dyson V6 Slim is perfect for spills as they happen or quick runs around the house before guests arrive.
Because I can never speak of a vacuum (yes, you actually have to take care of these things!) without providing a few tips, here are some that help me get the best out of my Dyson Slim.
- Be sure to dump the contents of the bin once it becomes full. I do so immediately after vacuuming, especially if I’ve vacuumed up something stinky like cheese.
- Be sure to check the vacuum for clogs.
- Clean brushes regularly and wash filter every month.
Thanks to the Dyson Slim, I haven’t owned a broom and dust pan in YEARS. I definitely recommended picking up one of these bad boys. Christmas will be here before we know it! You can get the exclusive Dyson V6 Slim now at Walmart or Walmart.com and get $30 off (Rollback price of $259) until September 12, 2015!
