If you’re a busy mom you know how hard it can be to get little personal things done on a regular basis. You are so busy feeding and dressing and cleaning up after your children that you don’t have time for things like an extensive skincare routine. But just because you can’t spend a lot of time on your daily skin routine doesn’t mean you have to forgo such things completely.
Here are some easy skincare tips that any busy mom should be able to manage:
Figure Out the Needs of Your Skin
Do you have dry skin? Oily skin? Are you acne-prone? Do some cleansers cause your skin to break out? It’s important to know what kind of skin you have before you start up a daily face wash routine. You don’t want to purchase cleansers that won’t work on your skin, or cause your skin to have a bad reaction. It may take a bit of trial and error, but once you find the perfect face wash, you can buy it in bulk to save yourself time while shopping later.
Purchase Multi-Purpose Products
Instead of buying a bunch of different items that all do different things, buy one item that does all of that at the same time. This will help you cut down the time it will take you to actually wash your face. It may seem a bit more expensive to buy one product that serves multiple purposes, but compared to several products all purchased separately you will probably save money in the long run. We’d recommend that you buy collagen. This simple supplement can help your hair, skin and nails. Plus, it can aid your joints and bones. So, it’s a real all-rounder. These are real investment pieces, so are more than worth what you spend on them.
Use Cleaning Wipes as Needed
If you are on the go but your face is feeling less than fresh, use a cleansing wipe! Packaged much like baby wipes, these single-use cloths are easy to pack in a bag or keep in a desk or a car. They come in many different types – like clarifying, oil-reducing, and makeup-removing – and can keep your face feeling clean between washes. They can be a great way to take a few quick moments for yourself throughout the day as well. You can duck into a bathroom or use them in the car with little trouble.
Multi-Task
Are you comfortable sharing a bathroom with a spouse or family member? If so, you might try to use the time they are in the shower, shaving, or brushing their teeth to wash your face and tend to other basic skincare needs. Are the kids down for a nap while you do work around the house? That is also a good time to head into the bathroom and get your face cleaned up. While washing up may seem best if done first thing in the morning and right before bed, sometimes that just isn’t possible. But if you can find time in the midst of other things, you are at least getting it done and not skipping it altogether.
Divide and Conquer
Maybe you have a skincare routine that you’ve been using for years and you don’t want to give up, but it takes a lot longer than you usually have available. Why not divide it up? Do part of the routine in the morning and another part at night instead of trying to get it all taken care of both times. The face washing may still need to be done twice, but other things like astringents and moisturizers probably only need to be done once. By dividing the steps in your routine you can get them all done in half the time and still feel like you’ve accomplished what you need to.
