Maternity & Beyond: The Henkaa Iris Convertible Dress

ball gown prom dress

When it comes to fashion, I don’t like to make much effort. I’m a sucker for a funky pattern and a pop of color, but I generally try to curate items that are long-lasting that I can style multiple ways. This is something that I have done for years to eliminate the frustration of getting dressed and spending a ton of money. After becoming a mom of two growing boys, my wardrobe budget has decreased significantly and I’m okay with that.

After downsizing to a smaller place last summer, I became obsessed with minimalism. We’ve gotten rid of SO much and continue to do so. I’ve also been intrigued by the fashion capsule concept and I’m trying to get with it. My very first capsule piece came to me courtesy of Henkaa. Y’all, these dresses are EVERYTHING. I received the charcoal grey Iris dress which can be converted 13 ways. That’s thirteen dresses in one! At the price of $138.00, that’s $10.60 per dress style.

In the photos above, I am wearing the Iris converted to the Diane style. I love how easy the dress is to work with and how comfortable it is. The fabric is made of 92% polyester, 8% spandex which is flattering to any figure especially pregnant moms like myself. The fabric is designed to expand while mama and baby grows and contract after baby arrives. Everyone looks great in Henkaa making them a great choice for bridesmaids. Henkaa dresses are available in 24 colors and can be styled up or down, making them a must-have for aaaaall the fashion capsules.

I need one of these! Watched the entire video and the Christine and Lynne styles are fabuuuulous. I wonder how forgiving this material is in the dead of summer…because if it doesn’t cling and feels cool, I’d be all over it!
