As the weather begins to transition from scorching hot, to a gentle cool, and Jayden grows a little taller, I realize that it’s time to do a little shopping to prepare him for the season. Marshalls, Old Navy, and Crazy 8 are the stores that I usually shop for Jayden’s clothing, but I think I will be adding Cookie’s to the list.
I was offered the opportunity to do a little shopping at CookiesKids.com. I was slightly familiar with the store, but I assumed that they sold school uniforms (their specialty) and basics. I’m so glad that I decided to dig a little deeper because they actually carry some pretty stylish clothing from respected name brands at great prices. As I browsed around, I instantly thought of Marshalls because they carry a lot of brands that I usually purchase there for Jayden; like Ralph Lauren, Akademiks, Joseph Abboud, Nike, and Kenneth Cole. I love these brands because they design their clothes for little boys as they would for young men with the same attention to detail and style. The only thing that speaks “kid” about their clothing is the size… rightfully so :).
I found some really great deals at Cookie’s. My favorite was this three piece Urban Extreme outfit for only $12.99!
I also got some odds and ends to go with items that he already had in his wardrobe like these super cute studded jeans for only $9.99! Rock star status!
Oh, and I had to get the Calvin Klein undies, y’all. Had to. Jayden is so serious about his undies. He’s going to love them!
My entire haul including shipping came out to $77.93. I can kick myself though because for some reason, I messed up the $10 off $75 scenario. I think I accidentally removed a pair of jeans from my cart because I purposely added a $7 pair of sandals to meet the $75 requirement. When I entered the Cookie’s coupon code, it worked, but somewhere in between logging in after using ShopAtHome to make sure I got an additional 3.5% off, I messed something up. DOH! Oh well. I can’t wait until his clothes arrive! I’ve already added some more items to Wishpot that I intend on getting in the next week or so. (Edited to add: done!) Some of the items were a bit pricey, but in true Sheena fashion, I’m waiting on a sale! The great thing is that I can price match them if I find a lower price online! It’s Cookie’s policy to price-match up to seven days after orders were placed. Score!
I am impressed with Cookie’s selection of clothing and their easy shopping experience sans my little coupon scenario snafu. I will be updating this post with photos of the haul when it arrives!
