Okay, moms and dads…no need to take another glance at the calendar. Holiday break is here and you not only have to finish shopping and wrapping gifts, but you’ve also got to keep the kids busy. This is no easy task. If your kids are like mine, they’ll stay busy for a good 4 seconds before they bug you to do yet another activity.
You can only turn on the television so many times before you start feeling guilty. What’s something that doesn’t take much time but has such a beautiful outcome?
Ta-da!
Who doesn’t love crafts with buttons? Before gluing the buttons to the angel, you can turn this into a counting game. If they get too restless with counting, try sorting the buttons in piles. Which buttons are clear? Which buttons are around the same size or smaller? The options are endless and kids will love combining mini lessons with crafts.
And the best part? You can totally gift this frame to the grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles or whoever really enjoys getting crafts from the kids.
Materials
Angel Template (cream or white)
-Printed on card stock and trimmed to 8 x 10
Assorted buttons – white or cream colored
Hot Glue
8 x 10 frame
Directions
On a flat surface begin to outline the angel with buttons. Affix buttons with hot glue and continue to cover the center of the angel.
Add a second and third layer of buttons if desired.
When finished, place angel craft in the frame, in front of the glass.
Happy Holidays!
