I feel so out of the loop… I have never used decorative Duck Tape. If I remember correctly, the last thing I duct taped was a moving box… years ago. I’ve been “unlocking” little crafty achievements here and there, so I thought it was time to finally get with the times and get creative with Duck Tape. With Halloween fast-approaching, I decided to decorate a pumpkin with Duck Tape. I decided to take a different approach instead of a typical Halloween theme. The project was easier than I expected and the outcome was fabulous!
Materials Used
1 Foam Craft Pumpkin
Leopard and Black Duck Tape
Scissors
Start taping from the stem to bottom of the pumpkin. Be sure to keep tape as smooth as possible to avoid creases and folds. Repeat this process until pumpkin is covered entirely.
Cover the stem of the pumpkin with black tape, wrapping it around for full coverage.
Using the black tape, cut out assorted black triangles and place them around the stem.
And you’re done!
Voila, the finished product! Simple and funky!
Have you ever decorated a pumpkin using Duck Tape? If not, there’s no better time than now to do so!

CUTE! Such a clever idea, with no 'slimy guts' involved :) I saw a similar idea on Pinterest where a pumpkin was wrapped with ace bandage to look like a mummy, it was also super cute!

This is such an awesom idea! My daughter just bought some cute duct tape and has been using it. Her friend used it to cover the back of her cell phone. She also covere some of her light switch covers. I know she will want to try this as well. I love the leapard print tape you used. So cute!
