Nae Nae Power

moves

I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Panasonic. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

This Halloween, I planned to DIY the kids’ costumes again. I wanted to go with the Adventure Time theme again since the boys are still into Finn and Jake’s shenanigans. Juicy’s Jake costume still fit for the most part and could be turned into a tunic. Jayden still had his Finn hat, so I purchased him a larger hoodie and pants. With the new addition of baby Akilah, she would be able to join as Lumpy Space Princess and I’d be able to have some fun making a tiny, little dress.

Sounds like I had it all figured out, right? Only my vision didn’t come to fruition in time. I made Akilah’s dress, but didn’t finish her headband. And I never made the alterations to Juicy’s costume. Such is life. The boys ended up going as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Akilah was a sweet peapod.

Each year, the boys go partying in their great grandma’s community the week before Halloween. She saved the day by buying their costumes. When Jaxon was a babe, I bought him a Sozo sweet pea bunting that he never wore, so to baby sister it went. Next year, I think I’ll start costume planning in August. I do plan on having a lighter workload by then, so that I can make.all.the.costumes. Those Adventure Time costumes though? I will still share them at a later time since any day is a perfect day for cosplay.

Today, I’ll share the boys in their store-bought getups. They put on quite the show for the camera. I told them to dance and pose like superheroes and this is what I got; boys at play, whippin’ Naes, on a Thursday.

Press the play button and watch them whip, whip.

Cowabunga, dude! These rad shots were captured with my Panasonic Lumix G7. Thanks to its 4K technology shooting 30 frames-per-second, I didn’t miss a beat.

So friends, how was your Halloween? Did you dress up? What/who did your kids go as? Feel free to share photos in the comments or on my Facebook Page!
