Patriotic Celebration Essentials

This post is sponsored by Meijer. Thanks for supporting the brands that support Sophistishe!

July 4th is fast approaching and I know I’ve been going on about wanting to celebrate the holiday without overexerting myself. And after reading this post you may be thinking I’m doing the most, haha. Doing the most for me would include home baked goods and a full spread of barbecued meats and fixin’s. But that’s not happenin’. We’re having brats, hot dogs, fruit, and whatever snacks I pick up over the weekend.

I do like to add a little festive flare to our holiday celebrations and that takes little effort on my part. At Meijer, I found some fantastic goodies to make our 4th more memorable. Unsure of what I was looking for, I headed to the July 4th display full of decorations and essentials.

When it comes to flag decor, I’m a little picky. This spiral windsock was hip and happenin’ enough for my taste. It looks great on our red door.

Next, I grabbed some gorgeous tea towels that would assist me with my food photography. #bloggerlife Cupcake picks are always a must, so I grabbed some of those too. They’re are also great for jazzing up appetizer and snack trays. P.S. The cupcakes are store bought. You can find some equally as pretty at Meijer.

Oh, the hippiesque peace sunnies were so adorable, so I had to grab some for the boys. The boys are stylin’ and ready. Deets on their outfits here.

No July 4th celebration is complete without Pop-Its and Sparklers. I grabbed a pack of each for us to have a very subtle light and sound show.

As you can see, it doesn’t take much to create an exciting and special July 4th celebration. I picked up all of our essentials for less than $25. Each piece serves a unique purpose and majority of our wares will be with us for years to come.
