This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Revlon. All opinions are 100% mine.
My typical makeup routine is pretty simple and I try to always keep it natural. I love the glowy, bronze look all year 'round and tend stick to that. I do change up my lipstick though. Right now, I'm into pinks after a previous rendezvous with hot reds. I do like to have a little fun every once and a while with my eyes and as part of the Revlon Expression Experiment, I've decided to step out of my palette of comfort by trying something new.
As part of the Revlon Expressions Experiment, Revlon sent me one of their ColorStay 16 hour eye shadow quads in the color Inspired. In addition, they also sent me ColorStay nail polish in Indigo Night. Now, as far as my nails, anything goes really. Painting my nails is one of the ways I express myself. I'll pretty much wear any color, so I was definitely excited about having a new blue polish. Great coverage and long-lasting, might I add.
Now back to the bright, peacock blue eye shadow quad. I may have gulped after pulling it out of the package. I'm no makeup expert and I make mistakes. I'm a little challenged in the blending business which is why I stick to the bronze eye shadows. Even if I don't apply it perfectly, it still blends in.
But after all, I signed up for a challenge, so I was determined to take it. And the step by step instructions on the back of the quad offered a little consolation. The outcome? I loved it! I was so afraid that I would look like I was doing too much, but that wasn't the case at all. I just looked like I made a little more effort to look cute for the day. I could get use to this :-).
Revlon is encouraging women to step out of their comfort zones by experimenting with different makeup styles. You can view and participate in the challenge on the Revlon Facebook Page. It sure is empowering to try something new and totally dig it. This month’s challenge includes daring nails. Have you tried a new makeup or technique, lately? If not, what’s on your wishlist?
