Ever since Jayden’s very first Eczema flare up as an infant, I’ve been extremely cautious about what we use on his skin. Eczema is a beast to deal with and it takes more than rubbing a little of this and that on it. Eczema is often caused by more than external irritants, but by foods. Having Jayden tested for food and external allergies helped us alleviate his flareups and finally work on managing and clearing up skin. For Jayden, food sensitivities were the main culprit. When we eliminated dairy and moderated grains and eggs, his skin started to improve drastically. Pair that with some good ol’ natural skin care and he was eventually freed from Eczema’s wrath save for the occasional patch on his hands and feet.
Luckily, Jaxon isn’t affected by Eczema, but he does get a little rosy around his cheeks. With the temps warming up, both of the boys will be prone to heat rash and skin irritation, so we’ll have to stay on top of our skincare routines. We are big on using products with chamomile during the spring and summer months as it helps soften and soothe any kind of skin irritation. Shea Moisture products are staples in our home. Call me a bit of a junky, but my love for Shea Moisture runs deep. I haven’t met a product that I didn’t like and they’re easy on my budget and can be found almost anywhere including Walmart.
We are currently using Raw Shea Chamomile & Argan Oil Baby Wash & Shampoo and Healing Body Lotion. The combination of Frankincense and Myrrh make such a yummy scent that we can’t get enough of. The wash lathers well and the lotion is so rich and creamy for optimal moisturizing, however it makes it hard to pump. The consistency is like body butter, so I’m hoping to see it eventually placed in a jar.
We did a short “Get ready with me” video à la #JuicyJax featuring the Raw Shea Chamomile & Argan Oil Baby line. Hope y’all enjoy the cuteness and Shea Moisture as much as we do. 😉
You can find Shea Moisture Baby products in local Walmart stores and at Walmart.com. You’ll love them!
