Do your teachers encourage snacking in class?

So this is going to be one of those Mommy Moments as my husband calls them, where I get overly excited about kid things…

Well, a couple of days ago, Jayden’s teacher sent home a note inviting the students to bring in a healthy snack and a water bottle to keep at their desks. *happy dance* After all, a full day of learning requires quite the amount of energy. It only makes sense to allow the children to have a snack just as they would at home. We all need to keep our bodies nourished throughout the day and to stay hydrated.

Apparently this wasn’t the case when I was going to school. *side eye* I remember it being a major offense smuggling snacks in your desk. One had to sneak every bite and if you were caught, the contraband became trash. I know some of you remember having to cough or shuffle items around in your desk to cover up the sound of a snack wrapper or bag of chips. *ahem achoo*

LOL!

Well, luckily for Jayden and his classmates, they don’t have to worry about sneaking and hopefully his future teachers follow suit by allowing snacks in the classroom.

Thanks to Made In Nature Supersnacks™, we’ve gotten a head start on building our snack stash. I’m really excited about these snacks because they are all organic with modest budgets in mind. Available at Walmart for $3.98, Made In Nature snacks are certified organic, Non GMO project-verified and are made with real fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts, spices, and grains. These snacks are also free of refined sugar and filled with healthy fats and the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients inherent in real foods.

When Jayden came home to our Made In Nature goodies, he couldn’t wait to try them. His first question was “Are they good for your boo boo?” When I told him yes, he did a happy dance. He’s an advocate for foods that will keep him regular and these real fruit snacks certainly do that!

We both devoured Super Berry Fusion and Cranberries on the spot. They are seriously so good. It’s hard to stop munching on them. In addition to packing these snacks for Jayden to take to school, I see us enjoying them in baked goods and in salads. Made In Nature’s line also includes Toasted Coconut Chips which would be perfect for topping a salad or dessert. The brand has also recently introduced Kale Chips, available for $4.98.

Made In Nature Supersnacks is a brand that I feel great about feeding my family. I love seeing brands making high-quality and accessibility a priority for everyone wanting healthier choices for their families. It’s simply the right thing to do.

With the help of Made In Nature, I’m sharing the love by giving one of you a $100 Walmart gift card to purchase and try their snacks! Follow the instructions on the widget below to log your entries. Good luck!

I want to try the Tart Cherries. My son’s teacher lets the kids have an afternoon snack because their lunch is scheduled at 10am. (Which is so ridiculous since they get a breakfast at school at 8:30am)

My kids go to a wonderful school. Snacking has been encouraged since day one and it’s no different this year as 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders all of their teachers ask that a snack be packed with them. My kids are big on fruit snacks. I think starting with the mango snack would be right up their alley.
