Spring is here (although the temps say otherwise) and for us that means lots of playing in dirt and fun with plants! To jump start our spring gardening we… didn’t plant a garden. Nope. Since we’re moving to who knows where, we decided to put gardening on hold.
We did make the CUTEST little dinosaur planters that seem to be increasing in popularity. These dinosaur planters are the perfect addition to any indoor or outdoor kid space. At under $3 a piece, you can afford to make an army of these little guys and give them as gifts. Party favors, whaaaat? Oh and they look great spray painted too! So let’s get started!
Materials
Toy Dinosaurs
Assorted Succulent Plants
Cactus Potting Soil
Cutting Knife
You can find these materials at Walmart. The dinosaurs are $1 each and succulents range from $2-$4 depending on variety.
Instructions
In each dinosaur, carefully carve out a hole large enough for a plant. Cut drainage holes at the base of each dinosaur.
Carefully remove plants from their original pot and re-pot them into the dinosaurs. Fill in any gaps with residual cactus soil.
Easy peasy!
Have you started sprucing up for spring? What DIY gardening projects are you working on? I’d love to know!

What a cute idea! I recently bought these little starter flower grow kits from target and I think my son would have fun putting them into dinosaurs. :)

Oh my word, my son would freak out over these. We've been talking about making him a small garden, inspired by fairy gardens, but he said "no fairies, momma." But he likes dinos. I think we have a winner!
