Staying Healthy After Baby

IMG_1725

Real moment. The past few days have been long and tiring. Yet, here I am cooking and writing a blog post at 3AM. As a mompreneur, my duties are never-ending, so I do a lot of multitasking throughout the day and ungodly hours of the night. With a new baby to nurture, my to do/love list just got bigger. Keeping in mind that I’m 2 1/2 weeks postpartum and breastfeeding, I realize that I need to still pace myself as my body continues to heal and nourish baby Akilah.

While I may feel fine on the outside, I need to remember that my body is going through a lot of changes that require rest and additional nutrients. I’ve already had a few instances where I’ve done a little too much in one day only to feel completely exhausted the day after. I’ve been feeling a little “off” lately so I’m trying to rest, although it’s hard when my inbox is jumping. My smartphone has been my BFF throughout my pregnancy and recovery. (Thanks, bae!)

Breastfeeding literally kicks my behind so I’ve been researching nutrient rich meals and updating my vitamin stash. The folks at Zarbee’s sent me a little something to help me take care of myself while mothering three little ones and a business. In my care package was an assortment of Zarbee’s Vitamin Drink mixes which not only provide me with the extra nutrients that I need throughout the day, but also encourage me to drink more water to stay properly hydrated.

Zarbee’s is a brand that we regularly purchase for the boys so I was excited to see a new line of products for adults. I appreciate that Zarbee’s Naturals are… just that… natural. Zarbee’s makes an effort to only offer products made of wholesome ingredients. Zarbee’s are free of drugs, alcohol, gluten, and artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, and artificial dyes whenever possible. As one who likes to take a more holistic approach, these factors are important to me.

Jayden went back to school two weeks ago which means more germs being brought into the house. Both of the boys have already come down with colds so my first vitamin drink was the Immune Support to protect myself and baby while tending to their needs.

On days when I’m too busy wiping runny little noses and nursing baby and a business, I’m glad to have Zarbee’s Vitamin Drink Mixes to help me power through the day. Need a boost? Zarbee’s Vitamin Drink Mixes are available exclusively at Target as part of the Made to Matter program. Find them in the Immunity section.

I'm a big fan of Zarbees for my kids. I definitely need to try out these products for myself. This mama is tired and definitely needs a pick me up or two.
