The things we do to see him smile.

We started the day with lunch on the lake shore.

It’s been so long since we’ve taken a family photo in our spot, so we snapped a quick shot or two.

Next, we headed to the Crown Fountain… only my flip flop broke on the way, so we had to make a detour to the nearest shoe store. I SO wanted to go home at that point.

There I waddled, barefoot and pregnant through Chicago in search of shoes. Might I add that The Taste was going on and I just knew I would be spotted by Crowd Ratchet usually tumbling through.

We managed to dodge looks, stares, and rude outbursts. At an urban shop, I found the cheapest pair of shoes… for $40 (worth $15) that didn’t match my dress AND gave me nasty blisters.

After our adventure, we finally made it to the Crown Fountain. This made it all worth it.

Oh, and the guy at the parking garage didn’t charge us, he just waved us through. THAT made up for the $40 shoes. šŸ™‚
