What’s in my bag? Summer ’17 Edition.

Summer break is here so that means we are spending more time outdoors/away from home. With three kids in tow, we have to stay prepared in order to enjoy our carefree days. I’ve given up on carrying a purse for the moment and I’m all about that backpack life – we live in it! I’ve tried as much as possible to condense the contents of my bag, but I never know what we may need while we’re out! Between diapering essentials, my essentials, and items specific to each kid, my bag is always prepped and ready to go.

What’s In My Bag?

Wallet – Identification, cash cards, gift cards. Check! Can you believe that I’ve been carrying the same wallet for 8 years? I’ve tried switching it up, but I default to the same one. It’s slim, has the perfect amount of slots and has RFID technology to block identity thieves.

Keys – Because how am I going to start the car or get back into the house? Duh. Iiiif I was driving. But that’s something I don’t do unless I reeeally reeeally have to. Really.

Phone – Another duh item and key for communication is my phone. It also allows me to manage money, pop in and handle any business matters; quick emails and swooping in to assist potential customers. My 3-year-old S5 is clutch.

DSLR Camera – Being in the digital space that I’m in, I’m always looking to capture memories and lifestyle shots to share here and with my shop’s audience.

Notepad & pen – While my phone can handle notes and list-making, I prefer taking the good old-fashioned route.

Muslin Blanket – These blankets are super handy. They can be used as a sunshade, nursing cover, play mat, and more endless possibilities.

Pill case – I keep vitamins in this case so that I’ll have them in the event that I forget to take them and so that I don’t have to worry about packing them for trips.

The Baby Pouch – This contains all of our diapering essentials, an extra onesie, and a sunhat. Inside this pouch is a smaller pouch with sunscreen, bug repellent, hand sanitizer, diluted essential oils, first-aid, and a cocoa butter stick. Gotta stay moisturized!

Beauty Basics Pouch – In this pouch, I keep a lippie, nail clippers, file, nail polish, remover pads, a mirror, toothpaste & brush, breath spray, fragrance, and earrings. I feel so naked without earrings, so having backup is a MUST. I’m always stepping out with chipped polish so the nail polish and remover pads save me from having busted toes.

Makeup Bag – My makeup bag is optional. This goes in my purse if we’re going on a roadtrip. Inside are foundation, mascara, bronzer/blush, makeup wipes, face cleanser, and leave-in conditioner to keep the curls hydrated.

Tissue – Having allergies, I’m always blowing my nose. The kids also have occasional sniffles so tissue is an absolute must. We picked up Kleenex Go Anywhere packs at Walmart to keep in my bag and the truck. The packs have a little ribbon that can be attached to seats, strollers – you name it! You can save $.50 on them now by visiting the offer below.

These are some of my summer bag essentials – I actually just thought of a few other items that I want to add, like snacks! If I’m not careful, I’ll end up packing the whole house!

First of all, I love that bag! My bag has way more stuff in it than it should. I just love looking to see what others keep in theirs.

I almost have the same items in my purse as you. I like the idea of having a muslin blanket in my bag. That would serve so many purposes. That is an awesome idea.
